Some changes in KITS require the KITS Services to be restarted in order to take effect. These services run on KITS servers, and so a remote desktop session is usually required to restart the services. When configured, this feature allows an operator with appropriate permissions to restart these services directly through the KITS user interface, without a remote desktop connection to the servers.
